Lugh, Master of Skills

Lugh (pronounced LOO) was known to the Celts as a god of craftsmanship and skill -- in fact, he was known as the Many-Skilled God, because he was good at so many different things. In one legend, Lugh arrives at Tara, and is denied entrance. He enumerates all the great things he can do, and each time the guard says, "Sorry, we've already got someone here who can do that." Finally Lugh asks, "Ah, but do you have anyone here who can do them ALL?"

Getting Unstuck

Here is a great spell to get energy moving and good things happening in any area of your life that feels "stuck".

You will need:

• Soft butter (margarine will do, but real butter is better)
• Powdered ginger
• Nutmeg
• Sugar
• A bowl you often use when cooking
• Wooden spoon
• Paper
• Red pen, pencil, or marker

Take some time to think about what it is that feels stuck in your life. Do some journaling if it is helpful. This is a very powerful spell, and it is important to be really clear about what it is that you really want....

A Magick Lamp for Quick Help

The type of lamp recommended is a hurricane or kerosene lamp.The basic fuel mixture is a blend of castor oil, olive oil, and kerosene. Use 2/3 kerosene to 1/3 oil mixture. A simple terracotta oil lamp may also be used - the basic fuel mixture would then be olive oil, or palm oil.

Making a Parik-til for Luck and Success

A Parik-til is the Gypsy version of a medicine bag. To create a parik-til, a small drawstring pouch is made in the appropriate color for the intended purpose.
