I am currently in the process of migrating the content shared here to a series of new websites hosted at shirleytwofeathers.com.

As you explore this site, you may find links to a "page not found" instead of something cool and magickal. For this I apologize. I am very working hard behind the scenes to restore those pages along with a link to their homes on my new website where they can be viewed in full.

Money Ritual Bath

Three nights before the cycle of the full moon, you should begin this three-day spell to remove the negative energy preventing abundance from coming your way. Repeat the following ritual bath on each of the three days leading up to the full moon with the last day being on the day the full moon starts. You should use the same candles for each of the three ritual baths.

The Ritual Bath:

To a warm bath, add money bath salts, which are made from a variety of formulas but generally have a strong patchouli scent....

Spell To Be Seen More Attractively

Fill your bathtub with water and scatter some fresh rose petals in it. Light some vanilla candles and/or incense. As you lie in the water, meditate on the image you would like to project and say these words:

Earth, Air, Fire, Sea
Let the Goddess' beauty
Shine through me...

Symbols: Stars
Presiding Goddess: Astraea

To Do Today:

In astrology, people born under this sign, like Astraea, strive endlessly for perfection within and without, sometimes, naively overlooking the big picture because of their focus on detail...

Water of Mars Protection Bath

War Water, also known as Water of Mars, draws on the power of iron. Although it's most famously used to send notorious and powerful hexes, War Water also creates a powerful, protective shield that repels danger of all kinds.
  1. Before you initiate the bath, first cleanse the home with War Water, especially the room in which you will bathe....

War Water Hex Breaker Bath

War Water causes hexes but it also repels and removes them. Here's a simple way to use it:

Create Your Own Ritual Bath

The purpose of a ritual bath is to cleanse Yourself, both inside and out. It is a rite in and of itself. Here is a general outline of what a ritual bath might consist of:
  • The bath water can be infused with saltsherbsoils that are in harmony with your purpose.
  • Candles are lit - these too are chosen for color and scent that are appropriate to the moment. Also to set the mood and create an atmosphere of sacred mystery.
  • Incense might be burned as well, to infuse the room with a specific aroma, to cleanse the room with the smoke, or as a fragrant offering to a deity.
  • Music can be used to aid with meditation or visualization....

A Ritual Bath for Hygeia's Day

According to various sources, February 26 is Hygeia's Day. I did not, however, find any specific rituals associated with the Goddess Hygeia. However, because bathing is so fundamental to basic hygeine, and Hygeia is the goddess of Healing and Hygeine, a healing ritual bath seems appropriate.

Healing Ritual Bath

Take a lit silver or white candle, some salt, and a healing oil (such as carnation, violet, sandalwood, or narcissus) into the bathroom. By the candle's light run a tub of very warm water. Cast some salt into it, add a few drops of healing oil, and then step into the tub....

Pine Bath

For a magical, cleansing, stimulating, and reinvigorating bath, place fresh pine needles in a muslin or cheesecloth bag. Allow your bathwater to run over the bag, creating an infusion. For extra punch, light some pine scented candles.

More cleansing recipes and ideas can be found at my new website, the Magickal Apothecary.
