Crossroads and Choices

As we travel we are all faced with choices. Hecate is the goddess of the crossroads. Go to her if you need to make a decision in matters having to do with travel or life opportunities.

Take three apples and go to a three-way crossroads that is not busy with traffic, ideally at night. Cut each in half so the pentacle formed of the seeds is showing....

Asking For A Blessing

The last day of each lunar month is the sacred day of the triple goddess of crossroads and the patroness of Witches, Hecate.

Hecate had many names and titles: Hecate Trevia, “of the three ways”; Hecate Phosphoros, “the light bringer”; Hecate Nykterian “of the night”; and Hecate Basileia, “Hecate Queen.” On this night of the waning Moon we have a perfect opportunity to work with this goddess and ask for her blessing to illuminate our darkest times, and grant us her protection....

The Charge of the Dark Goddess

Listen to the words of the Dark Mother, who of old was called Hecate, Nuit, Morrigan, Banba, Erda, Macha, MotherNight, Sekhmet, and many other names:

Whenever you seek wisdom, at the time of the Darkening Moon, come together in love and trust and learn of Me, who am the Wisest of Crones...Ye who search the mysteries of the Earth, the secrets of Air and Darkness, of Blood and Fire, the silence of the uttermost stars, come unto me, and I shall whisper to you in the depths of midnight....

Eclipse Meditation Ritual

Eclipses are opportunities for major transformation; this is a time when the energies of the lunations are more amplified and focused.

Solar eclipses always occur on the New Moon, and Lunar eclipses occur on the Full Moon. The eclipses reflect the lunation they correspond to, but they're much more intense and their effects are more long-lasting, so it is a powerful time for rituals of transformation and release.

For the Eclipse Meditation Ritual you will need:

• a white candle
• salt
• purified or spring water
• incense...

Fig Leaf Divination

Figs were considered by many to be the tree of life. This ancient method of reading fig leaves to determine the future of your life is known as sycomancy.

Write your question, scheme or proposal on a fresh fig leaf. Retain the leaf and observe it....

Chant For Guidance

Find a quiet place, light a candle if you wish, and then begin the following chant. Chant until you begin to feel a deep connection to the Goddess. Then be silent. Your guidance will come.

Speak to Me
Speak to me,
Speak to me Goddesses.
Speak to me...

At A Crossroads?

Here is a lovely spell!

Light my path
Hear my plea, Hecate,
Goddess of the night.
On this crossroad I stand,
Show me my awaiting destiny,
Remove my fears so I can see,
With your blessed name, so mote it be!!
