I am Lexi and I would suggest doing them both. I'm not sure how not having a power works you could try just not trying to figure out ur power it won't come. When I'm a mermaid and I feel like changing back I dry off and wait. Oh and has anyone we'r wondered why mermaids tails cannot ever stop moving when they aren't in water? When I change into a mermaid it isn't instantaneous my legs pull towards each other Then grow and grow and grow until they r at least 6 ft long and they kinda zip together above my ankle. They turn Silver and grow silver scales. As for my feet they flatten and web and stuff until they r paper thin and form a fin, also shiny silver. When I flex my tail I can't see the bend of knees or the inflexibility to move my tail in all sorts of ways. My scales come all the way up to the top of my breasts and form like the top of a heart around the top of them. I have gills, pointy ears, enhanced seances, bright blue eyes, long cornsilk bronze hair, enhanced and beautiful features, etc. comment me back, ok? Just call me MERMAIDINTHESEA.
I have the same problem too! I live in Alaska and I like at least 5 miles away from the bluff and freezing Atlantic Ocean. I have no pool and I'm a mermaid. I have no pools that ever have no one in them, and I didnt even used to swim a lot. I work things out by avoiding water, changing in the middle of my room with my door locked/blocked off, and having a really really really big bathtub :P No I have a tiny tub but I hang/sit myself at the edge of the tub to wash my hair and clean myself. My Boy friend ( he's not a boyfriend, he's my friend who' is a guy) found out I'm a mermaid today he accidently spilled water on me and wouldn't let go of me when I said I could clean it up in the Bathroom he said let me clean it up and rhen I changed and he was like what the heck is... Ok Guys, Lexi here, I know some of the spells did not work for you but don't worry, If you feel you need to redo the spell then feel free, because I have been trying out some new stuff as a mermaid and I can tell you that I sucessfully managed to breath a little!! it was about two seconds but really cool! keep trying guys!

Hey Valerie! I just followed the spell, but I also used some of my own technique. For instance, I used a shell in a bowl of water and stuck a finger in it, then closed my eyes and thought about the sea.

Do the side affects go away after a while? What are they all? How long do they last?
Hi Lexi here! The side effects last a while...7-10 weeks at most, sometimes longer. They go away eventually but it takes time. The side effects them selves are: Itchy legs and arms. wanting to cross your legs ALOT, wanting water, craving salt, wanting to be in water, and/or singing often.

I am not sure if anyone still doesn't understand the 3x3x3 but I will post an answer anyways. It means you say "by the power of 3" three times.
Other than that I can say that the spell works of course. I have been a witch for five years or so. I know magic very well and I decided to experiment with a mermaid spell. It worked perfectly for me and I learned how to control when I want to grow a tail and when I want it to go away. It all has to do with belief and that is all you need in order for it to work. The mind is the most powerful tool. I understand how many of you may hunger for more information on it but it simply is how it is. If you believe, then it is real. You hold the knowledge inside of you already.
It takes different times for each person for a spell to work + each person and spell is different, it may or may not work for you, but don't give up, find another one.
To help along, you need to learn how to shift into a mermaid, a spell alone will only help you. Learn to act like a mermaid, and then you imagine yourself becoming one. It takes time and practice to shift so be patient. Good luck to everyone and blessed be!
