Current News

I am currently in the process of migrating the content shared here to a series of new websites hosted at shirleytwofeathers.com.

As you explore this site, you may find links to a "page not found" instead of something cool and magickal. For this I apologize. I am very working hard behind the scenes to restore those pages along with a link to their homes on my new website where they can be viewed in full.

Mugwort Dream Bath

This bath is intended to be relaxing, sensuous, and soothing. Take time to relax in the tub with the herb. Warm water is generally more conducive to sleep and dreams than either hot or cold. Simultaneously burning candles may facilitate the process.

Bathing in mugwort tea is more pleasant than drinking it and equally effective when it comes to stimulating dreams. Here's how:

Pour boiling water over one teaspoon of dried mugwort. Allow the infusion to cool to room temperature, then strain and add to the bath. You can enhance the effectiveness by adding a few drops of mugwort flower remedy to the water.

To stimulate erotic and romantic dreams add the following herbs to a bowl and cover with boiling water. Once the infusion has cooled, add it to the bath as explained above.
  • One handful dried hibiscus flowers
  • One tablespoon orange blossoms
  • One tablespoon red rose petals
  • One teaspoon dried mugwort
  • Three dried bay leaves
Take this bath just prior to going to sleep. Just be sure that you don't fall asleep in the tub itself.
