Rose Petal Wine Punch

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups deeply scented and colored rose petals
  • 4 tbs. sugar
  • 1 quart sparkling water
  • 1  lemon
  • 1 bottle chilled fruity white wine

Put 3 cups of deeply scented and colored rose petals in a mixing bowl and sprinkle 4 tbs of sugar over them.  Using the bottom of a glass, slightly crush together the roses and sugar. Add a quart bottle of sparkling water and the juice of the lemon. Chill for 3 to 4 hours to let the flavors steep together.

To serve, strain off the liquid into a glass punch bowl. Add white wine, and float rose petal ice cubes in the punch just before serving.
