Magickal Form: Liquid, beads
Mercury is in essence a flow of crystals, a crystal river. Extremely active and impactful at the multi-level, mercury has many applications from change, via transdimensional transportation of consciousness to being a perfect choice for a magic mirror.
In Spanish spiritual rituals, beads of liquid mercury were scattered across the floor in order to divine the future. Because mercury is highly toxic, this ritual is extremely dangerous and should not be attempted.
Liquid mercury is also a popular ingredient in gambling spells, and here liquid mastic or the beads of the mastic resin can be used as a safer substitute. Here is a spell for gambler's luck:
Drill a small hole in the top of a buckeye and fill it with liquid mastic oil or the resinous beads. Then seal the hole with the wax drippings of a green candle. Hold this talisman in both hands while chanting:
"Bring me luck.
Quicksilver and Buck.
Wax of green improve my luck.
Bring me fortune by
Quicksilver and Buck."
Then place the buckeye in a green cloth bag and carry it in your pocket when gambling or picking lottery numbers.
