I am currently in the process of migrating the content shared here to a series of new websites hosted at

As you explore this site, you may find links to a "page not found" instead of something cool and magickal. For this I apologize. I am very working hard behind the scenes to restore those pages along with a link to their homes on my new website where they can be viewed in full.

Geranium Day

Spring time in England heralds the charity event, Geranium Day - a perfect time to cherish Blodeuwedd (pronounced: Blow-die-ah-weth).

Themes: Beauty, Relationships, Charity, Hope
Symbols: Flowers, Owl
Gemstones:Green calcite, amber, jet, black tourmaline, geodes to activate the heart chakra, the chakra that rules the life aspect of love.

About Blodeuwedd:
This intensely beautiful Welsh Goddess's name means "flower face," because magicians fashioned her visage from nine kinds of wildflowers - oak, meadowsweet, broom, cockle, bean, nettle, chestnut, primrose, and hawthorn.

Folktales say that Blodeuwedd was unfaithful to her husband. As punishment for her crime, the same magicians who gave her a flower face chose to be merciful and transformed Blodeuwedd into an owl rather than inflicting some other punishment. She has forever remained in this form, mourning the loss of love and reminding people of two important lessons:
  1. Relationships are fragile
  2. Beauty is indeed only skin deep.
